Nothing ... nope nothing ... beats a good book!

Let us all hope that books are always available to people, and that digital resources compliment but not replace them. Reading a book is sensory in a way that cannot be replaced by an iPad. And reading fiction is proven to develop empathy and communication skills in young people.

We keep a very specific range of books at Geppetto's Workshop. We're not a 'book store', but we choose books that have a toy-like element to them or relate in some way to our puppets. If it's in this range, it's a winner, tried and tested by our staff and customers.

 We also focus on books that bring parent and child together, and when matched with a little puppet to tell the story, children engage very deeply.
