Enjoy our little collection of toys, puppets and gifts that are based on Pinocchio! The most famous toy marionette of all is our mascot and represents our European heritage. The Adventures of Pinocchio was first written in 1883 by Italian writer Carlo Collodi of Florence. The story is set in a village in Tuscany where Pinocchio was handmade by a woodcarver named Geppetto. In 1940, Disney recreated the story and gave us the imagery that most of us will recall as 'the original'. Now, the story has been recreated by Disney yet again in 2022. Few stories have been retold so many times in so many mediums ... it's a classic.
