These are the Kewpies we knew in our childhood. Still manufactured in virgin polymers in Japan, the range is extensive and very high quality. Based on the tiny dolls manufactured from ceramic and plant based cellulose in Germany in the early 1900's, Japan became the major manufacturer in the 1940's.
