Miffy

What's not to love about a bunny?

Welcome to the world's cutest bunny rabbit. Miffy was first imagined by Dick Bruna in 1955 during a family vacation in Egmond aan Zee. It was there that Dick told bedtime stories to his eldest son Sierk about a little white bunny that hopped around the garden of their holiday residence. This bunny later became the inspiration behind the character of Miffy ... yes, she's a girl!

We're bunny-mad, so Miffy fits in perfectly here. We keep a small range of Miffy plush which are beautifully made and suitable for all ages.

Miffy has been a part of our childhood and is remembered in over 30 books, toys, plush and cartoons. She's ever-green, and her stories are as relevant now as they were when first written generations ago. In the Netherlands, Miffy goes by the name "nijntje," which stems from the Dutch word "konijntje," translating to "little bunny." This title makes perfect sense to Dutch speakers, but it doesn't have the same meaning in other languages. Because saying "nijntje" can be tricky for those who aren't familiar with Dutch pronunciation, Dick Bruna's little bunny is known as Miffy worldwide.
