Princess Matilda (Maud) was the oldest daughter of Henry of Anjou and his queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, the monarchs of one of the largest medieval empires of the Middle Ages. Born is 1156, she died early at the age of 33 just before her father died. Her brothers were very famous including King John and Richard the Lionheart, the troubadour king.
