What's my theme?? Australia!

Enjoy our little collection of toys, puppets and gifts that are base on Australian icons, animals, characters and nostalgia. We deliberately seek Australian 'made' items for this collection (of which some are), but our focus is sharing the theme of Australia with our customers.

Geppetto's Workshop operate our humble toy store on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People and other Kulin Nation tribes. They are the traditional owners of Corhanwarrabul, which we all now refer to as Mt Dandenong. If you're looking to buy Australia themed toys, consider our collection of puppets and figurines.

In Australia, the First Nations people of this island understood the importance of natural order ... because they relied on it to survive. They valued our native wildlife and needed to live in balance with the creatures that shared their land. The indigenous Australians had that taken from them during the 'colonization' of Australia by the British Empire, and many of their connections have diminished or been lost entirely. Now that we know and understand this history, toys that celebrate our wildlife can be excellent tools to communicate to our children the urgency for change.
